In Singapore, the government manages all city affairs, including supernatural matters. Benjamin Toh works as a middle manager for the Division for Engagement of Unusual Stakeholders (DEUS), tasked with keeping the city's magical inhabitants content and hidden from ordinary citizens and senior leadership. When an entire housing estate vanishes during a routine inspection, Ben must act quickly to prevent further sections of the city from disappearing. Despite limited resources and staff, he relies on his unconventional and supernaturally gifted team to investigate. Together they navigate secret shadow markets, scale buildings, and pursue leads across the city to resolve the crisis and complete their work. This urban fantasy explores workplace dynamics, found family relationships, queer romance, and supernatural creatures from Southeast Asian folklore.
