Dirty 20: A dark humor crime novel

Tommy Fugue, son of crime boss Big Al (King of the Denver Streets), is assigned to launder $20,000 online through fake crowdfunding projects. His plan goes awry when a tabletop RPG he creates as a mock-up—using artwork from his mother—unexpectedly raises $650,000 on FunFunder and continues climbing. Big Al, sensing profit and family opportunity, orders his criminals and killers to help playtest and produce Tommy's game, 1,000 Blades of Tergivers, hoping to legitimize the money. As Tommy runs game sessions with brothel owners, hit women, and a street captain with OCD, he begins to see the role of game master as a way to investigate his mother's disappearance. But managing a game while creating one becomes complicated when fantasy elements blur into the players' real lives. As the Family Fugue's power on the streets weakens, Big Al introduces new rules—known only to himself—and the stakes shift. The novel blends crime fiction, dark humor, tabletop RPG culture, family drama, and betrayal.
