About this book

Rather than accept this role passively, she assembles a group of villains, including an axe-wielding maid, a shining knight with dark moods, a homicidal bodyguard, and a playboy spymaster, under her leadership to plot against their predetermined fates. As the body count rises and the Emperor's fury increases, Rae and her allies face the question of whether they will survive to reach the story's end.
