Out of the Dark

Jade, a talented artist, has spent years fleeing from the People of Joy, a cult her mother brought her into during childhood. After her mother's death, Jade endured years of abuse within the group before escaping. She survives on the streets, using art as a means of coping and staying alive. Sam Cochrane recognizes his missing wife in one of Jade's paintings and realizes the artist may lead him to his long-lost daughter, Jade. He enlists Luke Kelly, a friend and former police officer, to help locate her. When Jade and her father are finally reunited, her reappearance attracts dangerous attention. As Luke and Jade develop feelings for each other, their connection puts them both in serious peril.
