Psion follows Cat, a street-hardened half-human, half-alien orphan telepath, in an action-adventure cyberpunk narrative. The book was named an ALA Best Book for Young Adults when first published. Vinge continued Cat's story with the sequels Catspaw and Dreamfall. This anniversary edition includes a new introduction by the author and "Psiren," a previously unpublished story.
