Robert Ludlum's (TM) The Janson Equation

Paul Janson and Jessica Kincaid, former government agents working as private security consultants, are hired by U.S. Senator James Wyckoff to locate his teenage son Gregory. Gregory's girlfriend Lynell has been found strangled in a Seoul hotel, and Gregory has fled the city to avoid arrest for the crime. Senator Wyckoff maintains his son's innocence, suggesting that Lynell, a translator, may have been murdered because of information she overheard at a recent international conference. As Janson and Kincaid investigate, they discover they are being pursued by an assassin. Their investigation leads them to suspect that a shadowy unit of the U.S. State Department orchestrated both the crime and its cover-up as part of a larger scheme to provoke violence between North and South Korea—a conflict that could spread throughout Asia and beyond.
