Soul Eater: M/M Fantasy Romance (Monstrous Book 1)

Twenty years ago, monsters emerged on Earth and reshaped civilization. Humans now live in military-controlled coastal cities, while most of the United States has become the Wastes—a lawless, desolate region claimed by monsters. Wyn the Soul Eater is among them, appearing every three years to travel across the country, randomly killing humans by draining them until they become empty husks. After six months in the military, the narrator joins a unit assigned to stop and capture Wyn. During a confrontation with hundreds of soldiers, the Soul Eater leaves only the narrator alive. This survival sparks a realization: something about the narrator has caught Wyn's attention. The narrator, a twenty-three-year-old from the south with no one and nothing, struggles to understand what could have drawn the notice of a death monster with horns, blackened fingertips, and a face hidden in shadow.
