The Garden of Lost Secrets

Two sisters discover fairy tales written by their great-grandmother during World War II, uncovering secrets hidden in the chaos of war. In 1940, Stasia finds solace in the French countryside and the gardens of an old chateau, where she draws inspiration for fairy tales of bravery and adventure. As Nazi forces advance across Europe, she becomes a hunted Resistance agent. The Chateau de Montissaire becomes her only refuge, though she soon realizes it may be central to her most significant mission. In the present day, Isabelle purchases a deteriorating chateau in Rouen as a renovation project and an opportunity to reconnect with her sister Emilie, her only remaining family. Instead, she uncovers a mystery. As the siblings investigate the books written by their great-grandmother Stasia, they piece together a story of courage amid betrayal and discover a secret that transforms their understanding of their family's history.
