The Knife and the Serpent

Tamsin and Glenn are ordinary residents of the Bay Area whose lives change dramatically when Tamsin's grandmother is murdered. Tamsin then discovers that her grandmother was an oligarch in exile from an adjacent universe within the Nigh-Space continuum. This revelation makes Tamsin heir to substantial wealth and a dangerous future, as dimension-crossing killers seek to eliminate her family. Meanwhile, Glenn learns that his girlfriend Vivy is a secret agent for an interdimensional organization tasked with protecting Nigh-Space inhabitants from fascists, tyrants, and hostile aliens. When Vivy becomes endangered, Glenn finds himself transported to another universe aboard a sarcastic spaceship, determined to rescue her. This space opera explores technology, family, and the cost of following one's destiny.
