The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, Book 1)

Book 1 of The Heroes of Olympus series, set in the Percy Jackson universe and intended for readers ages 10 and up. Jason wakes up on a school bus with no memory of his past, holding hands with a girl named Piper who claims to be his girlfriend. His best friend Leo is also there. All three are students at the Wilderness School, a boarding school for troubled youth, but Jason cannot recall what brought him there. Piper has been experiencing vivid nightmares about her missing father, who has been gone for three days. When a storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, Piper, Jason, and Leo are transported to Camp Half-Blood. At the camp, Leo discovers his cabin is filled with tools and learns about weapons training and monsters. His bunkmates tell him that he and the others are demigods—children of gods. A camper has gone missing, and there is talk of a curse affecting the camp. The three classmates learn they must embark on a quest to rescue a missing deity.
