The Night of the Triffids

A sequel to John Wyndham's The Day of the Triffids, set more than twenty-five years after the events of the original novel. In the first book, Bill Masen escaped with his family to a colony on the Isle of Wight after a meteor shower blinded most of humanity and deadly Triffid plants began consuming the world. This continuation follows David Masen, Bill's son, who is a pilot searching for an effective weapon against the Triffids. During his travels, David discovers a group of people in New York City who appear to be immune to the Triffids' poison. However, the colony proves more complex than it initially appears, and David encounters a dangerous adversary connected to his family's past. Winner of the British Fantasy Award for Best Novel.
