The Paradox Hotel: A Novel

January Cole works security at the Paradox, a hotel where wealthy tourists arrive in period costumes to catch "flights" to the past via timeport technology. The proximity to the timeport causes clocks to occasionally run backward and, according to rumor, allows ghosts to appear in the halls. When a corpse appears in room 526—one that seems to exist and not exist simultaneously, visible only to January—her job becomes far more complicated. The situation intensifies when powerful government officials and world leaders check in to bid on newly privatized time-travel technology. January suspects the timing is no coincidence, especially as accidents begin targeting the bidders. January possesses an ability that allows her to see what others cannot, making her the only one capable of catching a killer operating invisibly and in plain sight. However, this ability is eroding her grip on reality. As her past, present, and future converge, she must confront both the hotel's dark secrets and her own. The novel combines a time-twisting murder mystery with themes of grief and memory.
