About this book

The Terror follows the men aboard the HMS Terror, part of the 1845 Franklin Expedition—the first steam-powered vessels to search for the Northwest Passage. Survival becomes increasingly difficult as they contend with poisonous rations, a dwindling coal supply, and ships buckling under the pressure of crushing ice. Beyond these physical hardships, however, the men confront an even greater threat: an unseen predator stalking their ship in the frigid darkness—a monstrous terror clawing to get inside.
