The Wicked Sea

Zephyra, a mermaid from the Syl, has escaped years of abuse and captivity by shedding her tail and hiding on land in Mortia, a kingdom hostile to merrow. She survives by stealing and bartering on the streets until she is caught and sentenced to death by Arion Stone, a powerful and cold warlock who despises merrow. Arion has grown immensely strong but at great personal cost. To remedy this, he needs the heart of the God of Death, hidden in a fabled kingdom beneath the ocean. He offers Zephyra a bargain: help him retrieve it, and he will spare her life. Desperate, she accepts, binding their souls together through a magical agreement. As they embark on their quest, Zephyra's past catches up with her—the enemy she fled now seeks vengeance. For Zephyra and Arion to survive, they must learn to trust and fight together. In the wicked sea, however, everyone harbors secrets, and betrayal lurks at every turn.
