Time After Time

Kelly Brennan, a young widow, arrives at a house in post–Civil War New Orleans wearing a lime green silk and organza bridesmaid's dress, appearing confused and speaking of unfamiliar things like "telephones" and "cabs." She has traveled backward through time to an era of gentler southern manners and a slower pace of life than her modern world. Kelly's host is Daniel Gilmore, a charming gentleman who bears an uncanny resemblance to her late husband Michael. As Kelly adjusts to life in the past, she must determine whether this experience is real or a dream, and whether Daniel and his daughter Lizzie truly exist. Kelly faces the challenge of opening her heart to a man who has also experienced great loss and sadness. The novel explores whether Kelly and Daniel can find love in their present circumstances, despite the temporal confusion surrounding them.
