What Have We Done: A Novel

What Have We Done follows three people whose lives intersect around a deadly secret. Twenty-five years ago, Jenna, Donnie, and Nico were close friends at Savior House, a group home for teens without parents. They experienced abuse and neglect there. When the home closed following the disappearance of several residents, the three were separated. Each went on to build a life—a stay-at-home mom, a former rock star, and a reality TV producer—but they carry the trauma of their childhood with them. They have not seen each other since adolescence until circumstances force a reunion: someone is attempting to kill them. To stay alive, the three must confront the painful memories of their time at Savior House and uncover the secret from their shared past that explains why they are being targeted. The novel weaves together a thriller plot with the emotional weight of their coming-of-age experiences.
