She became an award-winning television producer at ABC News, covering assignments in Cambodia, Tel Aviv, and the Menendez murders. Her marriage to Anthony Radziwill connected her to European nobility and American aristocracy. The memoir opens with a small plane crash into the ocean that kills Kennedy Jr. and Bessette-Kennedy, Radziwill's closest friend. Three weeks later, Anthony dies of cancer. Through these losses, Radziwill examines family bonds, marriage, friendship, and personal reinvention with journalistic perspective and directness.
