Wolf Hour: A Novel

In Minneapolis in 2016, a small-time criminal and gun dealer is shot dead. Suspicion falls on Tomas Gomez, a quiet man with a mysterious past and connections to a notorious gang, who disappears. More murders follow, suggesting Gomez is responsible. Bob Oz, a suspended police officer with his own troubled history, becomes obsessed with the case, convinced he alone can understand this killer. Six years later, in 2022, a Norwegian man claiming to be a crime writer arrives in Minneapolis to research the Gomez case for a book. As his investigation deepens, his seemingly objective position becomes more complex than initially apparent. Wolf Hour follows two parallel investigations separated by six years as a detective and crime writer pursue a series of puzzling murders.
