All the Lonely People

Jamaican immigrant Hubert Bird is a widower who tells his daughter in Australia weekly stories about his fulfilling retirement filled with friendship and activity. In reality, his days are monotonous and isolated, with little human contact. When his daughter announces she is visiting, Hubert faces an urgent challenge: to transform his actual life to match the false picture he has painted. This forces him back into a world he has long avoided. In his efforts, Hubert discovers a second chance at romance, reconnects with an old friendship, and becomes involved in a community initiative aimed at combating loneliness. However, the underlying reasons for his isolation continue to weigh on him, raising the question of whether he can truly achieve the life he has been pretending to live.
