Born From the Ashes: A Pride and Prejudice Variation

Mrs Elizabeth Carrington is rescued by Mr Darcy and his sister during a difficult time in her life. The Bennet family has experienced multiple tragedies in recent years, leaving only Jane and Kitty at home with Mr Bennet. Elizabeth, a widow in mourning, travels to Town and brings Jane with her. Elizabeth and Miss Georgiana Darcy have developed a warm friendship. When they reunite in London for Georgiana's debut into society, the young women spend considerable time together. However, they soon discover someone is watching them from the shadows. Darcy, himself a widower, finds his attention drawn to the young widow. He becomes tormented by questions about who is watching the ladies and what their intentions might be. He struggles to balance his responsibility to his sister with his desire to protect Elizabeth's safety, while also wondering whether he might be worthy of winning her heart.
