Cocktail Time

When the Earl of Ickenham throws a Brazil nut at his pompous brother-in-law outside the Drones Club, the incident inspires the man to write an anonymous novel. The book becomes a bestseller, and relatives and opportunists begin competing for its royalties and movie rights. Uncle Fred then intervenes, introducing his own form of chaos and goodwill into the situation. The novel serves as a satire on publishing, respectability, and the English upper classes, and is counted among the Uncle Fred novels in Wodehouse's body of work.
