About this book

In this third Dragonback adventure, fugitive Jack Morgan and the K'da warrior Draycos are inseparably bound together. After Jack rescued Draycos from a crash, the alien—who needs a host to survive—took residence on Jack's back as a biomorphic tattoo, offering protection in exchange. Jack works to clear his name of a crime he didn't commit while helping Draycos investigate a conspiracy to destroy the K'da race. After escaping from mercenaries, Jack and Draycos learn that those hunting the K'da are connected to the Brummga, brutish aliens known for their toughness and lack of intelligence. To gather information, Jack is sold into slavery on a wealthy Brummga estate, where he must access the computer system while enduring a cruel slave master willing to kill. With Draycos watching his back, Jack faces a dangerous mission.
