About this book

Ada Sibelius is raised by David, her brilliant but socially awkward single father, who runs a computer science lab in 1980s Boston. Home-schooled and accompanying David to work daily, Ada becomes a shy prodigy by age twelve. As the lab gains recognition, questions arise about David's mysterious past. When David's mind begins to deteriorate, leaving Ada largely without parental support, she is taken in by one of his colleagues. Ada then undertakes a mission to uncover the secrets of her father's hidden history, a quest that spans from her childhood into adulthood. Her investigation leads her into a virtual universe, culminating in a conclusion that drives the narrative to its end.
