In a world governed by probabilities, Clay Shuntwise lives as a teenager running deliveries for his family's shop in the town of Renton. Thousands of Heroes protect the land by defending against periodic invasions of giant monsters called World Threats. Clay's ordinary life changes when a World Threat crashes down on him. Reborn as a Dungeon Core, Clay must learn how to navigate his new existence. A dragonling guide attempts to help him understand dungeons and Heroes, assuming that as a former Hero, Clay would already know the fundamentals. However, Clay was never actually chosen to be a Hero in his past life. Now he must learn about the relationship between Heroes and dungeons, including probabilities and drop rates, while struggling to survive in his unexpected new form. The series features Dungeon Core, LitRPG, and GameLit elements including dungeon construction and defense, monster summoning, character progression, and a game-like interface. The world's probabilities operate similarly to Gacha-type mechanics. The books contain no profanity, harems, or explicit sexual content.
