Five Brothers

A woman becomes entangled with the five Jaeger brothers, each with distinct personalities and circumstances. Macon, the oldest at thirty-one, is an ex-Marine who rarely smiles. Army, twenty-eight, is a single father. Iron faces an impending prison sentence despite appearing personable. Dallas, twenty-one, is described as cruel and selfish. Trace is the brother the woman was briefly involved with, though no one can hold his attention for long. After time spent in their world—the dark glades and swamps on the other side of town—the woman decides to return to her former life: her parents' house on a clean street, away from this rougher environment and these men. She plans to leave the next morning but agrees to spend one final night at their house. That night, while alone and crying, someone approaches her from behind and holds her. She realizes it may not be Trace.
