Intervention: A Science Fiction Adventure

Overpopulation, global warming, and food shortages have led the American government to create Operation Down-size, a plan to ensure the survival of only 7% of the world's population—a handpicked elite group that includes Christopher Adams. Christopher grows up with devoted, hard-working parents: his father is an insurance salesman and his mother is a stay-at-home mom. He proves to be an extraordinary child, accepted to MIT at age 12 and recruited by the CIA by age 21. His exceptional ability to solve puzzles and decrypt codes suggests an almost otherworldly intellect. When Christopher learns of Operation Down-size, he is horrified at the prospect of billions of innocent lives being sacrificed. Determined to stop it, he is joined by Cindy, an astronaut and member of the elite 7%. They gain an unexpected ally: an alien spacecraft equipped with highly advanced artificial intelligence. Thousands of years ago, an advanced alien race discovered Earth and recognized that humanity was advancing technologically faster than it was developing in compassion and wisdom—a dangerous imbalance. The aliens intervened by implanting an altered gene code into primitive females, designed to be passed down through generations for activation at a critical moment. That moment has arrived. Christopher and Cindy now use the spacecraft's advanced technologies to attempt to save the world.
