Just Between Us: A Graphic Novel

In this debut graphic novel, Lydia Chen, a technically skilled figure skater, struggles to rediscover her passion for the sport. Despite her success and reputation as the skater to beat since her early career, Lydia feels a spark missing from her performances. The demands of constant training, securing sponsorships, and competitive pressure have drained her love of skating. When rival skater Elaine Yee begins training at Lydia's rink, Lydia becomes drawn to the emotion and artistry in Elaine's routines. As the two compete for an Olympic spot, their dynamic shifts from rivalry toward something closer. Through this relationship and competition, Lydia begins to understand how to reconnect with what makes skating meaningful and to feel alive on the ice again.
