Liv Varanakis was eight years old when her father left for Greece. Though they shared a love of Greek myths and the lost city of Atlantis, she has few fond memories of him. When Liv receives a postcard from her father about a National Geographic documentary on his Atlantis theories and an invitation to help, she agrees to travel to Santorini. Upon arrival, Liv finds the reunion awkward. Years of absence have created questions and emotions she must navigate while hoping for reconciliation. She is also reluctant to let Theo, her father's charismatic protégé, see her struggle. To manage her feelings, Liv immerses herself in Santorini's offerings—sunsets, turquoise water, hidden caves, and local cuisine. However, the island is not as perfect as it appears. As Liv discovers, her father's reasons for inviting her to Greece may extend beyond the Atlantis project to something more significant.
