Midnight Sacrifice

People are mysteriously disappearing from a small Maine town. Four months earlier, a murderer killed two people and kidnapped three others, including Danny Sullivan's sister, who managed to escape. The killer also escaped and disappeared into the wilderness. When police fail to locate him, Danny returns to Maine to search for the man himself. Danny begins his investigation with Mandy Brown, a bed and breakfast owner and fellow survivor. Her reluctance to cooperate makes him suspicious about what she might be hiding. Mandy does have a secret, and Danny's persistent questions—along with the growing attraction between them—threaten to reveal it. This revelation could endanger her family. As more people vanish from the town, evidence suggests the killer is preparing another ritual and has Mandy in his sights.
