Murder Your Darlings: A Novel

Simone "Sam" Vetiver is a mid-career novelist juggling a publicity tour, writer's block, and a looming deadline. Recently divorced, she receives fan mail from William Corwyn, a highly successful author known for female-centric novels. When they meet, their chemistry and shared literary interests seem promising. However, their relationship becomes complicated by William's multiple stalkers, including one called The Rabbit, his isolated life on a remote Maine island, and a series of deaths among members of The Darlings, a support group William runs. Narrated from the perspectives of Sam, William, and The Rabbit, the novel explores whether William is trustworthy, who is responsible for the deaths, and how far people will go for love. The story examines the contemporary literary world while following a twisted tale of romance and suspicion.
