About this book

Nina, a girl with lapis lazuli eyes, was chosen to serve as a double for Princess Alisha of Fortna. She developed feelings for Azure, the second prince, but was sent to marry Galgada's crown prince, Sett, to protect Azure from a conspiracy against his life. Sett initially treats Nina coldly, but gradually comes to care for her. When the Galgadan line of succession is eliminated, a contest to win the throne by marrying Nina erupts. Azure then arrives in disguise as a messenger from Fortna, further complicating matters. Nina's lady-in-waiting, Hikami, poisons Sett. Though he survives, Nina is blamed for the assassination attempt when Hikami abandons her at the scene. Nina is sent to Griffigeld, a far-eastern prison from which no one is said to have ever escaped. In this seventh volume, Nina must work to prove her innocence.
