Persephone Station

Persephone Station is a queer space opera and military science fiction adventure by Hugo Award–nominated author Stina Leicht. Persephone Station, a remote planet largely overlooked by the United Republic of Worlds, attracts the attention of the Serrao-Orlov Corporation, which seeks to exploit secrets the planet holds. Rosie owns Monk's Bar in the corporate town of West Brynner, where two distinct groups gather: members of an exclusive criminal class and those seeking to hire them. Angel, an ex-marine and leader of a semi-organized group of criminals, wayward assassins, and mercenaries known for honorable actions, is asked by Rosie to take on a job. The assignment reveals information that will threaten Persephone and force Angel and her squad into conflict with the Serrao-Orlov Corporation. Despite facing overwhelming odds, they prepare for battle. For Angel, honor is paramount—once lost, it cannot be recovered, though she remains determined to try.
