Saturn's Race

In a near-future setting, Chaz Kato lives in Xanadu, a city-sized artificial island inhabited by some of Earth's wealthiest people. The island contains advanced technology alongside hidden secrets and dangers. When student Lenore Myles arrives at Xanadu and becomes involved with Kato, she uses his access codes to discover disturbing truths beneath the island's polished surface. Unable to trust anyone, Lenore flees. A mysterious entity called Saturn moves to contain the security breach, wielding powerful technology and the resources of the world's richest individuals. Lenore must evade Saturn across diverse environments—from ocean depths to virtual reality—in a race for survival against a formidable opponent. The story involves power struggles between privileged floating islands and desperate populations, and features intelligent dolphins and sharks with artificial enhancements.
