Saucer: Savage Planet: A Novel

A year after engineering student Rip Cantrell discovers the first flying saucer buried in the Sahara, another saucer is recovered from the Atlantic Ocean. A pharmaceutical executive funds the recovery, believing the saucer contains an anti-aging drug formula needed for interstellar travel. However, Adam Solo, an alien technician marooned on Earth for a thousand years, steals the saucer to summon a starship for his rescue. The saucer's damaged communications equipment forces Solo to seek help from Cantrell, his partner Charley Pine (an ex-Air Force test pilot), and Cantrell's uncle Egg. As the world grows fearful of space invaders, pharmaceutical executives and their associates pursue the group. Faced with a transformed world, Rip and Charley must decide whether to leave Earth and venture into space with the arriving aliens, who may offer unprecedented possibilities.
