Saving Rain (Born in Rain Book 1)

Saving Rain is an emotional, gritty story about redemption, love, and an antihero's struggle to become a good man. Narrated by a character named Soldier, the novel follows a man who was born into expectations of being a beacon of hope and guiding light. The pressure of these expectations drove him to desperation and actions he regrets. Though he always wanted to be someone his grandparents could be proud of, he struggled to find the strength to be proud of himself and paid a significant price for his choices. After serving his time, Soldier receives a second chance to improve himself and become the man he believed he could be. When he finds unexpected love, he begins to reconsider whether redemption might still allow him to become a hero.
