About this book

Sisters Kitty, sixty-two, and Jenny, sixty-six, have not spoken since a disappointing Carvery lunch. When both inherit a farmhouse in rural France, they see an opportunity to repair their fractured relationship. However, the farmhouse requires significant repairs, the garden is overrun by chickens, and a donkey with digestive issues roams the property. As Kitty becomes involved with Leo, a French builder, Jenny discovers solace in the farmhouse's well-stocked wine cellar, helping her cope with her difficult marriage to Paul. Through the process of restoring the property and spending time together, the two sisters begin to rebuild their friendship and learn that misbehaving may be good for the soul.
