Sourcery: A Discworld Novel

In this Discworld novel, an eighth son of an eighth son—himself a wizard—has seven sons, then an eighth son who is a sourcerer: a wizard squared, or a source of magic itself. Unseen University, the Discworld's foremost magical institution, finally gets what it has wished for: a wizard of unprecedented power. But the consequences prove drastic.
