When Manuel Rodrigo de Guzmán González disappears, Wendell Apogee sets out to discover what happened to him. The search leads through parties, cockfights, and chases, as well as encounters with an underground city where residents live in houses suspended from cavern ceilings. Along the way, Wendell confronts urban weirdos and alien assassins, while navigating themes of immigration, the black market, flight, riots, and religious cults. Spacer Blues is a literary retro-pulp science-fiction-mystery-superhero novel that combines elements of multiple genres. The narrative is rendered in browns and grays, punctuated by sudden fires. This is the debut novel by Brian Francis Slattery. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.
