Summit Lake

Becca Eckersley, a first-year law student and daughter of a prominent attorney, is found brutally murdered in Summit Lake, nestled in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. With no suspects or persons of interest identified, the town is left reeling and police are without leads. Investigative reporter Kelsey Castle is assigned to cover the case, initially viewing it as routine. However, the brutality of the crime and apparent efforts to suppress information suggest something more deliberate than a random attack. As Kelsey investigates deeper despite warnings and danger, she develops a connection to the dead girl. Through learning about Becca's friendships, relationships, and secrets, Kelsey becomes convinced that following Becca's path may help her confront her own difficult past.
