About this book

The World Made by Hand postapocalyptic saga concludes with this novel set in the small town of Union Grove, which has adapted and survived in a new age of civilization. Young explorer Daniel Earle resurrects the town newspaper while town trustees ask him to help revive the Hudson River trade route. As the townspeople work to move forward, visitors arrive claiming to represent the Berkshire People's Republic. They espouse rhetoric centered on social justice and absolute equality while demanding tribute from citizens through veiled threats. The people of Union Grove must decide how far they will go to preserve the freedom and peace they have fought to achieve in this new world.
