About this book

After experiencing a devastating loss, Brynn Wilder travels to Wharton, a tourist town on Lake Superior, seeking to reset her life and gain perspective. She rents a room in a quaint boardinghouse for the summer and finds herself among a friendly group of fellow lodgers. However, the boardinghouse holds mysteries. A fellow resident named Alice possesses knowledge about Brynn and the other guests that she should not have. Brynn experiences bad dreams and night whispers that draw her toward a shuttered room at the end of the hall—a room marked by a recent death. She also finds herself drawn to another lodger, Dominic, despite rumors that suspicious deaths follow him wherever he goes.
