About this book

Cordelia James, a renowned street photographer whose career once included gallery showings and a book deal, struggles to function after her father's sudden death. Seeking a change, she takes a summer position at a cottage on Ireland's Inishmore island. Upon arrival, Cordelia literally collides with Niall O'Connor, a local chef who has recently returned to Inishmore from Dublin. Nursing his own heartbreak, Niall is unwelcoming to tourists. As Cordelia and Niall's paths repeatedly cross, their mutual antagonism intensifies—until their conflict begins to transform into something else entirely. The novel follows their developing relationship against the backdrop of Inishmore's coastal setting, supported by a cast of quirky local characters. The story explores themes of love, passion, art, and food.
