The Kitchen Front: A Novel

Set two years into World War II, this novel follows four women who enter a BBC radio cooking competition called The Kitchen Front. A trained chef aims to advance in a male-dominated profession. As the women pursue the competition intensely—sometimes bending rules—tensions rise, threatening to divide rather than unite the community.
