The Land of Sweet Forever is a posthumous collection of Harper Lee's newly discovered short stories and previously published essays and magazine pieces. It offers insight into the literary development of the author behind To Kill a Mockingbird, her Pulitzer-winning debut, and Go Set a Watchman, published in 2015. The collection reveals lesser-known aspects of Lee's career: her early short fiction written for magazine publication, her life as a New Yorker and Alabamian, and her essays published in McCall's and Vogue during the latter twentieth century.
