About this book

Police Chief Randall Cole serves Apalachicola, a struggling tourist town on Florida's Forgotten Coast. When a shop owner reports that the town's hoarder and conspiracy theorist has gone missing for several days, Cole investigates and discovers the man dead beneath his own accumulated possessions. While the death initially appears accidental, Cole suspects there is more to the case. As he pursues the investigation into the man's murder, the situation becomes increasingly dangerous. Someone is determined to prevent Cole from uncovering the truth about both the conspiracy theorist's death and the town's failed resort, and they are willing to kill to keep their secrets hidden. Cole, however, proves difficult to eliminate.
