The Love Ambush (The Sullivan Brothers Book 1)

Levi Sullivan is a flirt and player, and also the best friend of the narrator's brother. The narrator has harbored a long-standing crush on him but has defended herself by pretending to hate him. When the two are forced to spend time together in a small town for the brother's destination wedding, avoidance becomes impossible. The narrator is already struggling: she's working to complete her nursing degree, her sisters refuse to listen to her despite her role as their guardian, and her brother is asking her to get along with Levi to help make his wedding successful. The narrator fears that if she stops hating Levi, she will fall for him and get her heart broken. However, Levi continues to appear and help her even when she insists she doesn't need assistance. She begins to question whether he is truly the player she believed him to be. As Levi steadily breaks down her defenses, the stakes of not falling for him grow increasingly difficult to maintain.
