The Moneychangers

Ben Roselli, president of First Mercantile American Bank and grandson of its founder, announces he is dying. With no heir to take over the company, two executive VPs emerge as candidates to succeed him: Roscoe Heyward, who has worked at the bank for two decades and prioritizes acquiring new clients, and Alex Vandervoort, a newcomer from the Federal Reserve who advocates for socially responsible growth. As the succession struggle unfolds, the bank faces an additional crisis: the discovery of counterfeit cash and credit card fraud. The novel follows events from routine business operations through the inner workings of the money trading center and boardroom, exploring themes of ambition, greed, and the US banking system.
