About this book

Sherlock Holmes calls his wife and partner Mary Russell away from her studies at Oxford to join him on Dartmoor, where he is investigating a death and strange phenomena with supernatural characteristics. Across the misty moor, witnesses have reported sightings of a spectral coach made of bones carrying a woman who was accused of murdering her husband long ago, as well as a hound with a single glowing eye. Holmes and Russell return to the location of one of Holmes's most famous cases, The Hound of the Baskervilles, to unravel a mystery that proves darker and more relentless than the moors themselves.
