About this book

This five-book urban fantasy collection follows Everson Croft, a scholar and spell-caster in New York who discovers his magical abilities in the prequel novella Book of Souls and faces a mind-warping evil in the final installment, Death Mage. Croft is an untrained mage working as a teacher while learning magic on the job. He confronts vampires, werewolves, and demons throughout the city. Despite his disheveled appearance and burnt satchel, he possesses innate magical talent and remains determined to protect New York, even if imperfectly. This box set contains five books: the prequel novella Book of Souls, followed by the novels Demon Moon, Blood Deal, Purge City, and Death Mage. The series combines occult action, spell-based suspense, and moments of humor and heroism.
