The Pub Across the Pond

Carlene Rivers is a 30-year-old living in Cleveland, Ohio, leading a dutiful but stifling life. After buying a raffle ticket, she unexpectedly wins a pub located on the west coast of Ireland. Despite everyone's surprise, she decides to move and take over the business. Upon arriving in Ballybeog, a small town near Galway Bay, Carlene is drawn to the community's blend of ancient and modern elements and the warmth of its residents. The town operates on a culture where locals treat strangers as family and always have time for conversation. Running the pub presents obstacles, including a meddling neighbor and the establishment's regular patrons, but Carlene discovers freedom in singing, joking, and storytelling—allowing her to develop her own voice. Her interactions with Ronan McBride, the pub's former owner, offer her the possibility of following her instincts and trusting her heart in ways she hasn't before.
